Install LibreOffice on Mac

Easy installation

LibreOffice's Mac version is easier to install than any other version of LibreOffice. However, it offers the least control over the installation. Users can only get the full version, with all the features and languages, that were included in the DMG (Mac application installation format).

The five steps below show the ease of installation.

Step 1

Visit the download page on LibreOffice's Website

The Web address is libreoffice.org/download/download-libreoffice/ or click the button below. There are two sections on the page. The top one is the latest version of LibreOffice. The bottom one is the second latest.

The Web page will give users access to either the English (American) version or the language version their Web browser is set to. There is a link at the bottom of each section, in case a different language is needed.

The drop-down menu should show the type of Mac you are using: Intel or Apple Silicon.

Click the drop-down menu

This step is not necessary, if the right type of Mac is already selected. If it is not, click the menu for the desired version. Then click macOS (Apple Silicon) or macOS (Intel).
